On 7th October, 2024, at 2pm (GMT), the African Security Sector Network (ASSN), in collaboration with the Latin American Security and Defence Network (RESDAL) and Laam is launching the Hybrid Security Governance Observatory (HSGO). The HSGO has been established within the framework of the Just Future Project supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

Participation in the online launch is open for registration via the following link: https:\/\/bit.ly\/HSGO.<\/p>\n

The HSGO is based on the concept of hybridity, whereby a wide variety of informal and formal institutions interact in a complementary or competitive manner which influences the governance of security.<\/p>\n

The aim of the HSGO is to provide an exhaustive mapping and analysis of the different components of hybrid security governance as well as to create an inclusive platform to foster dialogue and mutual understanding between the different actors involved in the field of African security.<\/p>\n

This online launch of the HSGO will be an opportunity for representatives of governments, international organisations, civil society actors, researchers, academics and security experts to share their views, find out more about the HSGO and lay the foundations for a coordinated response to the multidimensional security challenges facing the African continent.<\/p>\n

Dans le cadre du Programme Avenir Juste soutenu par les Pays-Bas, le R\u00e9seau africain pour le secteur de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 (ASSN) en \u00e9troite collaboration avec le R\u00e9seau latino-am\u00e9ricain de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de d\u00e9fense (RESDAL), et en partenariat avec le Laam, lance l\u2019Observatoire de la Gouvernance Hybride de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 (Hybrid Security Governancce Observatory\/HSGO).<\/p>\n

Ce lancement en ligne se tiendra le 7 octobre 2024 \u00e0 14h00 (GMT). La participation est ouverte sur inscription via le lien suivant : https:\/\/bit.ly\/HSGO.<\/p>\n

Le HSGO se fonde sur le concept d\u2019hybridit\u00e9 selon lequel une grande diversit\u00e9 d\u2019institutions informelles et formelles interagissent de mani\u00e8re compl\u00e9mentaire ou concurrente, ce qui influence la gouvernance de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

L\u2019objectif du HSGO est ainsi de proposer une cartographie exhaustive ainsi qu\u2019une analyse des diff\u00e9rentes composantes de la gouvernance hybride de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en Afrique, mais aussi de cr\u00e9er une plateforme inclusive pour favoriser le dialogue et la compr\u00e9hension mutuelle entre les diff\u00e9rents acteurs qui interviennent dans ce champ de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 africaine.<\/p>\n

Ce lancement en ligne du HSGO sera l\u2019occasion pour les repr\u00e9sentants des gouvernements, des organisations internationales, des acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, des chercheurs et universitaires, et des praticiens de d\u00e9couvrir le HSGO, de partager leurs points de vue et de poser les fondements d\u2019une r\u00e9ponse coordonn\u00e9e face aux d\u00e9fis s\u00e9curitaires multidimensionnels auxquels est confront\u00e9 le continent africain.<\/p>\n
